Gluten Free Butterscrotch Pie

We have a friend who dearly loves butterscotch pie and since it was his birthday, I decided it would be a wonderful gester to  make him a pie. After  spending a few hours rummaging through hundreds of  recipes I finally found the perfect one..
 There's our friend Dutch..I wonder if he will  share his pie with anyone? Even if he doesn't, I still have the recipe and would like to share it with you!

Gluten Free Butterscotch Pie
1 GF Baked Pie Crust 
4 Tablespoons Butter
1 Cup of Packed Brown Sugar
1/3 Cup GF All Purpose Flour
1 3/4 Cups Milk 
3 Egg Yolks, Slightly Beaten
1 Teaspoon Vanilla

Directions:
Melt butter in sauce pan, browning slightly. Combine sugar, flour and stir until well blended. Add Milk and slightly beaten egg yolks. Cook over direct heat until thickens.Remove from heat. Add Vanilla and stir. Immediately pour mixture into baked pie shell. Allow to Cool at least an hour. Add topping of your choice.. I used Meringue.

Keep It Simple Tip:
You could also top off your pie with Cool Whip..
