Tomato Baskets Share Tags: appetizer This appetizer with send your tastebuds into a frenzy! The combination of the flaky biscuits, the tomatoes, cheese and philadelphia cream cheese is a dream come true! Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 15 minutes | Total time: 30 minutes | Servings: 12 1 onion, chopped
2 cans of diced tomatoes flavored with basil, oregano and garlic, drained
1 package of flaky grand biscuits
2 cup(s) of shredded Italian cheese blend
1/2 cup(s) of chopped fesh basil
1 basil leaves for garnish
1 bag of bacon pieces, save some for garnish
1 cup(s) of mayonaise
12 ounce(s) of philadelphia cream cheese
Steps
Begin this dish my mixing the shredded cheese, diced tomatoes, onion, mayo, basil and bacon pieces together in a large bowl.
Take the grands biscuits and pull apart each biscuit into 2 biscuits. Continue until all biscuits are in half. Roll into a circle and lay inside a muffin pan that is sprayed well with non-stick cooking spray.
Spoon in philadelphia cream cheese into all the baskets.
Next, spoon in the mixture into each biscuit, on top of the cream cheese.
Bake in the oven at 350 for 15 minutes.
After baked, remove from the oven and sprinkle the bacon pieces and the basil for garnish. Let cool in the muffin pan for 5 minutes, remove and serve.
