Thompsons Terrific Taco Dip Share Tags: appetizer, appetizer week 2 This is a dip that will make fireworks in your mouth. It has been in our family now for 25 years. The chipolte peppers combined with the cream cheese give this dip the cool/hot dance on the tongue that will have you hooked on your first bite. We have this dip regularly at our home and with our parties and family get togethers. This is the dip that everyone wants the recipe and will beg you to make everytime. Prep time: 1 hour | Total time: 1 hour | Servings: 12 2 8 oz pkgs cream cheese softened
2 cloves garlic made into a paste
3 chipolte peppers chopped
16 ounce(s) of container sour cream
1/2 pkg (1.25 ozs) taco seasoning
2 cup(s) of sharp cheddar
1 bell pepper
1 pint(s) of cherry tomatoes
1 pkg shredded lettuce
1 spring onion
2 or more bags of Tortilla chips
Steps
Soften cream cheese
Add minced garlic to cream cheese
Add chipolte peppers to cream cheese
Add sour cream to cream cheese
Add taco seasoning to cream cheese
Mix all ingredients till blended
Spread in a 9x13 pan(do not use a metal pan)
Add 1 cup of cheddar cheese to top
Refrigerate for 1/2 an hour or overnite
Add some of the shredded lettuce to dip
Sprinkle the chopped bell pepper on top of lettuce
Sprinkle the chopped cherry tomatoes on top
Add more of the lettuce
Sprinkle the other cup of the cheddar cheese
Sprinkle the spring onion on top
Serve with Tortilla chips
