TAHINI PINWEELS Share Tags: dessert Philly cream cheese, tahini, and walnut combination are amazing. I learned this combination from my grand mother. Try it you will love it. Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 20 minutes | Total time: 35 minutes | Servings: 6 1/2 pound(s) of Puff Pastry Sheet (1 puff pastry)
1/4 cup(s) of Philadelphia cream cheese, room temp
1/4 cup(s) of walnuts, finely chopped
1/4 cup(s) of + 1 tsp tahini (shake well before use)
5 tbsp. of sugar for filling plus 1 tsp to sprinkle top.
Steps
Thaw the pastry sheet at room temperature until it
Unfold the pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface. Spread the cream cheese, and then tahini
Sprinkle with 5 tbs sugar. Sprinkle chopped walnuts on pastry sheet.
Starting at the longer side closet to you, roll up and cut the log into 12 slices
Place lightly greased baking pan. Brush with tahini and sprinkle about 1 tsp sugar over pinwheels
Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool in pan slightly and serve warm or room temp. You can double the recipe and keep in an airtight container. Enjoy.
