Philly Crabbies and Shrimp on a Barbie of Cream Cheese Share Tags: appetizer Crabbies are basically cheese and crab on a English Muffin, but these babies are kicked up with Philly Cream Cheese, Red Sweet Peppers, and Old Bay Seasoning. I also did a 30-second appetizer which is an 8 ounce bar of Philly covered with Bookbinder's Spicy Cocktail Sauce and then a can of shrimp on top served with crackers. I want to enjoy the party, too! Prep time: 30 minutes | Cook time: 3 minutes | Total time: 33 minutes | Servings: 12 4 ounce(s) of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 Jar of Old English Cheddar Cheese
2 tbsp. of butter, melted
2 tbsp. of Red Sweet Pepper, finely chopped
1/4 tsp. of garlic powder
1/4 tsp. of Old Bay Seasoning
1/2 cup(s) of Crab, canned or fresh
6 English Muffins, split
30 Second - SHRIMP ON THE BARBIE OF CREAM CHEESE
8 ounce(s) of Block of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1 Jar of Cocktail Sauce
1 Can of Medium Shrimp
1 Box of Crackers
Steps
Cream together the Philadelphia Cream Cheese and the jar of Old English Cheddar Cheese
Dice the Sweet Red Pepper very finely
Melt the butter and add the chopped pepper and allow to sweat or cook very gently in the butter until fork-tender
Add butter/pepper mixture to the cheese mixture. Stir to combine.
Gently fold the crab into the cheese mixture.
Split the English muffins and divide the cheese mixture on the 12 halves.
Put the muffins in the freezer for approximately 20 minutes to allow the cheese to get firm.
Remove muffins from the freezer and cut into quarters.
Put quartered crabbies on a baking sheet and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly and turning brown.
30-Second Shrimp on the Barbie of Cream Cheese Lay block of cream cheese on plate. Pour Cocktail Sauce over the cream cheese to cover. Add Shrimp to the top of cocktail sauce. Arrange crackers around the edge of the plate.
