Philly Apple Chicken - You're goin' LOVE IT!! Share Tags: entree, entree week 1 This is a wonderful Apple Stuffed Chicken oozing with the creamy Philadelphia Cream Cheese. You're goin' LOVE IT!! Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 40 minutes | Total time: 55 minutes | Servings: 4 3 chopped apples
2 cup(s) of chopped pecans (divided)
4 ounce(s) of cooked and chopped bacon
1/2 cup(s) of brown sugar
1 tsp. of cinnamon
1/2 tsp. of nutmeg
8 ounce(s) of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/2 cup(s) of chopped parsley (divided)
4 large uniformed boneless skinless chicken breast
2 cup(s) of crushed corn flakes
6 tbsp. of melted butter
Steps
chop apples into bite-size chunks (keep the chunks in salted cold water to keep from browning)
chop bacon strips
chop fresh parsley
combine apples, bacon chopped pecans, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar
after mixture is well mixed add in soften Philly cream crheese and mix well .
sprinkle 2 tbls fresh parsley into the apple cream cheese mix again
Slice a pocket into thawed chicken breast
stuff apple stuffing into the chicken pockets making sure to get it in all the corners of the chicken
brush mayonaise on the top of the chicken breast
combine crushed corn flakes, pecans, 2 tbls melted butter, and the remaining parsley in a ziplock bag the mix well
scoop topping with your hands or large spoon and place it on the top of the chicken, be generous with the topping and pat down on chicken
place chicken on a buttered or sprayed cookie sheet and bake at 350 for approx. 40 - 45 min. temperture of the interior chicken should be 165
while chicken is baking heat the remaining apple stuffing in a sauce pan, serve warm as a side with the chicken.
