Hawaiian Turkey Burgers with Red Onion Pineapple Mayo Share Tags: entree Aloha! These Turkey Burgers will have you and your friend hula-ing all the day long!!! I hope you enjoy these burgers from my home to yours! Bring me to Savannah and I will make them for you! Aloha! Prep time: 15 minutes | Cook time: 30 minutes | Total time: 45 minutes | Servings: 8 1 finely chopped red onion
2 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp. of salt
1 tsp. of black pepper
1/2 cup(s) of crushed drained pineapple
1 cup(s) of mayonaisse
2 pound(s) of 85/15 ground turkey
1 chopped red bell pepper
1 cup(s) of chopped drained spinach
8 ounce(s) of PHILADELPHIA Chive & Onion Cream Cheese
2 tbsp. of extra virgin olive oil
8 whole wheat kaiser buns
1 head green lettuce
2 finely sliced roma tomatoes
Steps
Finely chop red onion in food processor and spread evenly on cookie sheet
Drizzle 2 tbsp. extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle salt and pepper over chopped red onion
Thoroughly coat onion with oil and salt and pepper
Place in 375 degree oven for 25 minutes
After onions have cooled combine in food processor with pineapple and mayonaisse until smooth. Set Aside.
For the burgers: In large mixing bowl combine ground turkey meat, bell pepper, spinach and PHILADELPHIA chive & onion cream cheese.
Form eight equal sized patties.
Heat 2 tbsp. olive oil in large skillet over medium heat until hot.
Place four patties in skillet and let cook five minutes on each side or until cooked throughout
For buns: Lightly coat buns with olive oil and heat in 375 degree oven for 2 to 3 minutes.
For assembly: spread red onion & pineapple mayonaisse on each side of toasted bun.
Place burger, lettuce and tomato on the bun and ENJOY!!!
