Classic Chocolate Butter Frosting

6 tablespoons butter

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3 cups confectioners’ sugar

1 1/2 tablespoons milk or cream

3 ozs. unsweetened chocolate, melted and cooled

Cream the butter and vanilla.
Add the confectioners’ sugar, a little at a time, beating after each addition.
Blend in the melted, but cool chocolate.
Stir in the milk and beat until of spreading consistency.
