Mini Baked Banana Cream Cheese French Toast Share Tags: entree Philadelphia cream cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner? Yes please....oh and maybe also a snack or two. This is a recipe I came up with for mouth watering, guest pleasing, knock your socks off Mini Banana Philly Cream Cheese French Toast Casseroles! Yummmmmmm! I came up with it because I was looking to create an easy weekend breakfast that uses ingredients you would normally have in your house and it includes 3 things I love! Banana's, bread and cream cheese! Video includes lots of tips and fun commentary on how to make the dish. Try to make it! You'll love it!!!! Prep time: 25 minutes | Cook time: 35 minutes | Total time: 60 minutes | Servings: 4 2 tbsp. of Butter
1/2 cup(s) of Packed brown sugar
1/3 cup(s) of Corn syrup
2 Peeled and sliced bananas
4 ounce(s) of Original Philadelphia Cream Cheese (can be substituted for Philadelphia Honey Nut Cream Cheese)
8 French or Brioche bread slices, cut 1 in thick diagonally
6 Eggs
1 1/2 cup(s) of Milk
1 cup(s) of Heavy cream
2 tbsp. of Vanilla extract
1 tsp. of Granulated Sugar
1/4 tsp. of Ground cinnamon
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
Butter the inside of 4 mini casserole dishes
Place mini casserole dishes on a lined baking sheet
In a large bowl, beat together eggs, milk, cream, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon. Dip 4 slices of bread and arrange one slices of bread in the bottom of each mini casserole dish
Melt the butter in a pan over low heat stir in the brown sugar until the sugar dissolves
Stir in corn syrup
Add the Philadelphia Cream Cheese and stir until all ingredients are thoroughly mixed
Turn off heat and mix in sliced bananas stirring carefully until bananas are fully coated in sauce
Place a thick layer of the cream cheese banana spread over the bottom layer of bread in each of the mini casserole dishes
Dip the 4 remaining slices of bread in the egg, milk, cream, vanilla, sugar and cinnamon mix and arrange one slice of bread on the layer of cream cheese banana spread in each of the mini casserole dishes
Equally pour the remaining eggs, milk, cream, vanilla and cinnamon mixture over the top of the mini stuffed french toast casseroles
Bake in preheated oven, uncovered for 35 minutes
Remove from oven and let them cool for 5 minutes
