Decadent Cream Cheese Brownies with Mocha Cream Cheese Frosting Share Tags: dessert This is a cream cheese and chocolate lover's delight!!!! It has 2 shots of chocolate and 2 shots of cream cheese need I say more??!!?? I came up with this recipe 18 years ago and it has been a hit ever since! The cream cheese gives these brownies and frosting such a richness, smoothness, they are truly indescriable. If you looked up the words Decadent Cream Cheese Brownies in the dictionary you'd probably find my face! This brownies are truly a sinfully, heavenly delight, so I hope you will give them a try! Prep time: 22 minutes | Cook time: 35 minutes | Total time: 57 minutes | Servings: 12 1 Box of your favorite brownie mix and ingredients to prepare
8 ounce(s) of Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup(s) of Butter, softened and divided
1/2 cup(s) of Granulated Sugar
2 Eggs
2 tbsp. of All-Purpose Flour
1 tsp. of Pure Vanilla
1 tbsp. of Pure Vanilla
4 cup(s) of Powdered Sugar
1/2 cup(s) of Cocoa
1 cup(s) of Black Coffee
8 ounce(s) of Philadelphia Whipped Original Cream Cheese
Steps
Beat in granulated sugar until fluffy.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Prepare brownie mix according to the directions on the box. (If you have a favorite brownie recipe you may use that instead) Set aside until ready to use.
In mixing bowl beat Philadelphia Originial Cream Cheese until smooth.
Blend in 4 Tbsps of butter.
Add granulated sugar and beat until batter is light and fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time, making sure to beat well after each addition.
Add flour and vanilla and mix until smooth and fluffy.
To prepare pan spray a 9X13 pan with cooking spray. Place wax paper cut to fit bottom of pan in pan.
Pour 1/2 of brownie batter into pan and spread to make sure to cover bottom of pan.
Pour cream cheese batter over brownie batter making sure to cover all of brownie batter. Make sure not to swirl brownie and cream cheese batter.
Pour remaining brownie batter over cream cheese batter as much as possible, it may not cover all of cream cheese batter.
Put into oven and bake for 35 minutes.
To prepare Frosting: In mixing bowl beat 1/2 cup butter until smooth
Add vanilla and mix well.
Add powdered sugar slowly. Beating well after each addition.
Add cocoa and beat well. If mixture starts to ball up once coffee is added it will become smooth.
Add enough coffee to make mixture spreadable. The exact amount depends on the type of frosting desired. If stiff frosting is desired then add less coffee if loose frosting is desired add more. If too much coffee is added just add powdered sugar in to obtain desired consistancy.
Fold in Philadelphia Whipped Original Cream Cheese untill well blended, set aside until ready to use.
Once brownies are done, remove from pan and place in freezer for 10 minutes to cool.
When brownies are cool, frost, cut into 12 squares and ENJOY!!!!
