Chicken & Mushrooms in a Creamy Garlic & Herb Sauce Share Tags: entree This is an adaptaion of the Chicken Fettucini recipe I use all the time for my family! I love it because it is tried and true. It is so quick & easy, and fancy enough to serve for company. There are never many leftovers, it's always a hit!! Enjoy Prep time: 5 minutes | Cook time: 20 minutes | Total time: 25 minutes | Servings: 6 8 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thighs or a combination of both
8 ounce(s) of sliced fresh mushrooms
8 ounce(s) of Philadelphia cream cheese
1 cup(s) of sour cream
3/4 cup(s) of butter
3 cloves minced garlic
1/2 tbsp. of marjoram
1/2 tsp. of basil
1/2 tsp. of oregano
1/4 cup(s) of fresh grated parmesan cheese
1/3 cup(s) of shredded mozzarella
2 tbsp. of salt
1 tbsp. of pepper
Steps
Melt 1/4 cup of butter in a large skillet.
Season chicken with salt & pepper, and place in medium hot buttered pan.
Meanwhile, melt 1/2 cup butter in a separate pan.
Add garlic and sautee until golden.
Add sliced mushrooms to garlic butter. Sautee until golden brown.
Add sour cream to mushroom mixture. Stir until combined.
Slowly melt cream cheese into mushrooms.
Add herbs into creamy mixture. Stir until well combined.
Sprinkle parmesan & mozzarella into cream mixture. Stir just until melted.
When chicken is done (cooked for approx 8-10 minutes on each side) and is golden. Place into a serving dish.
Pour garlic herb sauce over chicken. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
