Dissolve 1 T dry yeast and 1 cup sugar in 2 1/4 cups warm water.
Add: 1 1/2 teaspoons salt and 1/2 cup melted butter and 6 beaten eggs. Mix.
Stir in: 7 cups of flour (2 cups may be whole wheat flour). Knead. Add up to an additional 2 cups of flour (9 total cups of flour) until you have a very soft dough.
Divide into quarters. Roll each quarter into a 12" x 16" rectangle. Brush with butter. Cut into 16 triangles for crescent rolls. Roll each triangle from edge to point to make a crescent shape. Place on well buttered pan. Cover and let rise about 2 hours. Bake at 350 degrees F, 8-10 minutes. (Shared by Leann)

60 Minute Rolls
Make in a mixer or food processor with a dough hook.
5 cups white flour 3 Tablespoons sugar 2 Tablespoons dry yeast
1 teaspoon salt
Combine 3 1/2 cups of the flour with all the sugar, yeast and salt. Mix 1 minute in a mixer.
1 cup milk 1/2 cup water 1/4 cup margarine (1/2 stick)
Combine milk, water and margarine in saucepan or in microwave and heat until very warm--the margarine should be soft but not melted. Do not let this get too hot or it will kill the yeast when you mix the two combinations. Gradually add the warm liquid to the flour mixture. Add remaining (1 1/2 cups) flour 1/2 cup at a time. Mix and knead for 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl. Cover. Let rise 15 minutes. Turn onto floured board. Shape. Cover. Let rise 15 minutes. Bake at 425 degrees F for 15 minutes. (Shared by Veda)
