Spring Strawberry Trifle Share This is a beautiful trifle that uses fresh spring strawberries and creamy Philadelphia Strawberry Cream Cheese. Moist pound cake and delicate sweetened whipped cream round out the layers of this simple and elegant dessert. •2 8 ounce containers of Philadelphia Strawberry Cream Cheese
•2 tsp. of Strawberry Extract
•1 tsp. of red food coloring
•2 1/2 cup(s) of milk
•2 cup(s) of heavy whipping cream
•1/3 cup(s) of powered sugar
•1 pint(s) of strawberries
•1 family-sized frozen pound cake (thawed)
Steps
1.To prepare the strawberry layer, place Philadelphia Strawberry Cream Cheese, vanilla pudding, and milk in a large bowl. Beat until it begins to thicken.
2.Once mixture is thickened, add food coloring and strawberry extract. Beat mixture until thickened to a pudding consistency (about 5 minutes total).
3.To whip cream, beat 2 cups of heavy whipping cream on high speed for a minute.
4.To sweeten cream, add powered sugar. Continue to beat for 3-5 minutes until it forms stiff peaks.
5.Cut off tops of strawberries and cut each into about 4 slices. Cut pound cake into 1 inch cubes.
6.To assemble trifle, place a layer of cubes on the bottom of a trifle dish. Add strawberries on top of the cake, then add a layer of strawberry mixture, and finally a layer of whipped cream.
7.Continue adding layers until you reach the top of the bowl. Ingredients make 3 layers of each.
